However, I was introduced to Multi-Edit 9, which was extremely helpful. Why look at black and white with Notepad when you could work in color? What an amazing break through, I was elated! I also took the first of my digital design courses. In Introduction to Computer Illustration, I learned Freehand 10.

Summer semester 2002 I enrolled in Web Wisdom and Information Fluency. It taught me how to be a discerning Internet user by, searching and researching and how to create Web sites that are efficient, useful, and usable. Also that semester I took Introduction to E-commerce. I chose a product, did more research, created the marketing strategy and wrote a mini business plan.

The fall 2002 semester was a creative one. In Computer Art and Digital Imaging I learned Photoshop 5. In Multimedia Web site Development I learned Dreamweaver and Flash, both the MX version. That was the end of Notepad and Multi-Edit 9; Dreamweaver was the only way to go!

In the spring of 2003 I decided to mix things up a bit. Why not a little programming and a little design? I enrolled in Web site Development with CGI/PERL. I learned how to integrate mailing lists and other server-side interaction. For my creative side I took Introduction to Graphic Design. Here we concentrated mainly on QuarkExpress 5 for print and layout purposes. I found out that I really enjoyed that too!
